Hey Jennifer, thanks so much for your kind words and for pointing that out! I totally get where you’re coming from, and I didn’t mean to be disrespectful by using “girls.” Honestly, I used the term because it sometimes feels more casual or familiar, but I see now that it can come across the wrong way. I really appreciate the reminder and will make sure to use “women” going forward. I’m considering a tree tattoo and stumbled on this piece and enjoyed it, but these women have beautiful tattoos and deserve to be referred to as adults.
